Manage dataset

Manage your dataset in the Polyteia Platform.

Managing datasets means more than just uploading files. You can edit metadata, adjust the schema, duplicate datasets, control access, and export data in various formats. Everything starts with the ... menu on the dataset overview page.

Edit dataset details

To update title, source, or description:

  1. Go to the dataset: Home → Workspace → Solution → Datasets → [Your Dataset]

  2. Click on the ... menu in the top right corner.

  3. Select Edit dataset details.

  4. Make your changes and click on Save.

Upload or replace data

  1. Open the dataset overview.

  2. Use the upload area to:

    • Drag and drop a file

    • Or click on Upload data in the ... menu

  3. Supported formats:

    • CSV

    • Excel

    • JSON

    • Parquet

You can upload data to:

  • A newly created empty dataset

  • Or to an existing dataset with older data (overwritten)

Duplicate a dataset

Need a quick copy to try something out? Simply duplicate:

  1. Click on the ... menu

  2. Select Duplicate dataset

You can then:

  • Select an existing solution to place the copy

  • Or create a new dataset directly

After duplication:

  • You'll be taken to the overview of the new dataset

  • You can upload new data if needed

Share a dataset

You can grant others access to the dataset and assign roles:

  1. Click on the ... menu

  2. Select Share

  3. Search and select users or groups

  4. Choose a role for each user:

    • Viewer - can only read

    • Editor - can upload/edit

    • Owner - full control, including sharing and deletion

  5. (Optional) Add a message

  6. Click on Save

Only users in your organization can be added to datasets. See also Connect.
