Account

Your access to Polyteia.

Your account is your personal access to the Polyteia platform. It stores your email address, password, and security settings. Based on this account, you can have one or multiple profiles in different organizations.

Think of it this way:

• Account = Your key to the platform

• Profile = Your presence within an organization

Difference between Account and Profile

Example: If you are part of the organizations of City Numberville and County Datacity, you have one account (email address and login) but two profiles – one for each organization.

Account Settings Overview

You manage your account under Settings → Personal → Account.

Login

• Email address – Change the email address used for login.

• Password – Set or update password.

Authenticator App

• TOTP – Additional security with a two-factor app like Authy or Microsoft Authenticator.

Account Actions

• Sign out – Sign out from your current session.

• Delete account – Permanently delete account (only possible if you no longer belong to any organization).

If you delete your account, you will lose access to all data. This step cannot be undone.

Personal Access Keys (PAKs)

You can create personal access keys (PAKs) to securely use the Polyteia API – without entering your password. Useful for integrations or automations. For more information, see the PAK article.
